News Coronavirus January 2018 HAPPY NEW YEAR Looking back on 2017 and looking forward to 2018 In 2017 we said goodbye and thank you to our dear friend and Network Guru Angela and a warm HELLO to Vicky and Natalie, our two new advisors. In 2017 we held a great annual event with over 120 Good Neighbours sharing the day - in 2018 we look forward to welcoming even more of you to this years event and celebrating all that is good in the Network. In 2017 across the Network even more acts of kindness were generated, 6 new groups are integrating into the Good Neighbours Network and 15 established groups extended their reach to offer support and guidance to even more people. In 2018 we look to expand and develop new groups in Portsmouth and promote a new group that is almost underway in Aldershot. In 2017 we gratefully received funding from Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council and NHS Commissioning Care Groups for delivery of the Network throughout 2018 In 2017 we launched our new website, upgraded our on-line learning platform My Learning Cloud, focused on mental health issues, updated some publications and put many of you in a I'M A GOOD NEIGHBOUR T'SHIRT - for 2018 we have more new publications coming on stream, will be looking at loneliness with all its implications and how the simple act of being a Good Neighbour can be so important to combating isolation, and we have a new t'shirt slogan for 2018 (available from our annual event on 26th April 2018). ITS GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR FOR GOOD NEIGHBOURS - watch this space!
