January 2021

Happy New Year!

We wish a very happy and peaceful new year to all Good Neighbours.
Let’s hope 2021 brings lots of good news across the land.

Send us your selfies!

We are working on the GNN Annual Review for 2020 and as an antidote to all the grim news we want to look forward to all the good things that 2021 may hold.

Please can GNN Volunteers send in a selfie with your name, group and  three words on what you are looking forward to in 2021  e.g. hugging my friends, going on holiday, not wearing masks, having a haircut etc.

Please email to gambol.parker@portsmouth.anglican.org or text it directly to 07801218830 by Monday 18th January.

GNN's Nicky is looking forward to "Hugging my Mum."

Become a Good Neighbour in 2021

If your new year’s resolution is to start volunteering, why not become a Good Neighbour? With 120 groups across Hampshire, there’s sure to be one near you. Groups offer a range of activities, from driving services to shopping and befriending and provide a range of help that can be safely and effectively delivered across Tier and potential lockdown restrictions. Thanks to flexible volunteering, you can offer as much or as little time as you have to give.

To find out more information or see if there is a group near you, click here to find a group,  contact us info@goodneighbours.org.uk or call 023 9289 9671.

Festive cheer

We always love it when groups send us pictures of good things, especially when they look so tasty! These delicious Christmas cakes were made by Carolyn from Langstone Good Neighbours – providing a yummy festive treat for Langstone residents.
