Go Sober in October is a Macmillian fundraising campaign, that we know some of you are supporting – GOOD LUCK.
It's stats time...
We have just sent out to all GNN groups the annual 2018 statistics form to complete. This year it really should be an easy on-line process – a quick click on the link and the survey will download and be ready for you to enter the information, once ready to send back to us just hit the submit button. Simple.
We would be so grateful to have the information returned to us by the 31st October deadline and THANK YOU for taking the time to complete. Collecting this information and analysing the data means we can track and respond to the needs of the Network while updating funders and others on all the activity and acts of kindness each of you contribute too.
LAST YEARS STATISTICS SHOWED AN ACT OF KINDNESS IS DELIVERED EVERY THREE MINUTES SOMEWHERE IN HAMPSHIRE BY A GOOD NEIGHBOUR – which is very powerful stuff!
Growing Good Neighbours
A call to action volunteer event in Paulsgrove at the Highslopes Community Centre on October 6th, community gardening and some delicious teas and cakes available – if you are thinking about volunteering in the Paulsgrove area come along and find out more about being a Good Neighbour.
'Singing for the Brain'
A 10th anniversary celebration for this brilliant initiative of singing sessions in Hartley Wintney, managed by the Alzheimer’s Society and the local GNN group. Over 40 people attended the event, with a lovely combination of current participants, members of the local choirs and even some carers whose loved ones have passed but, still hold happy memories for this weekly sing song and get together.
If you are interested in becoming involved, sessions are every Thursday 2-3pm, with refreshments served from 1.30pm at the Hartley Wintney Football Club, Greene Lane – a special thank you to the football club who let them use the premises for free and to Barbara Rayner who has been facilitating these sessions since the beginning – she’s a good neighbour star!
